During the design phase, the foodservice team emphasized the importance of the servery due to the anticipated high volume of outpatient activity at the facility. Not only did the hospital have a clinic attached, it was also directly adjacent to the ThedaCare Regional Cancer Center and the Encircle Health clinic where foodservice options were limited. Hence, the goal of the OSP servery was to offer a more extensive menu to meet the needs of visitors, staff, and patients within the building and adjacent clinics. The servery boasts a full-service coffee shop/deli, a versatile action/entrée station, and a spacious grab & go area. Additionally, the foodservice department provides pre-packaged to-go meals for patients in recovery who are unable to shop or prepare meals on their own.
