QUINAULT BEACH RESORT & CASINO

The Quinault Beach Resort & Casino decided to undergo an expansion project, aiming to increase the gaming and dining options, improve functionality and storage, and enhance the guests’ overall experience. The project included remodeling 159 resort rooms, as well as the casino’s smoking and non-smoking gaming areas. Rippe Associates was selected to provide design services for the coffee shop, bistro & bar, banquet kitchen & buffet, quiet bar, and casino floor bar.

With a scope of services that included designing five different areas, as well as building the banquet kitchen & buffet and the casino floor bar, Rippe Associates made sure to come up with unique solutions that would meet the client’s goals. The team also faced several challenges throughout the project, such as creating a better flow between different areas, resolving the existing inefficiencies in the back of house functions, and finding a way to overcome the space limitations. However, their creative solutions and attention to detail allowed them to deliver a successful project that satisfied the client’s expectations and their needs.

The project was a significant undertaking, spanning over a timeline that started in 2018, with an estimated equipment cost of around 1.25 million dollars. Some unique features of the renovated space include the 150-seat full-service buffet with a tribally themed design, featuring a dessert station designed to replicate the shape of a traditional canoe, along with miniature versions of traditional canoe paddles crafted by a local tribal artist. Furthermore, as the casino is located directly on the coast, the design of the dining facility takes inspiration from its remarkable surroundings and features several cultural elements.

Rippe Associates was successful in delivering a well-designed, functional, and unique dining facility that meets the needs of the client, and it remains an outstanding project in their portfolio.
